Asian Championship kicks off

Today at Le Grande Plaza Hotel in Tashkent city the Asian Championship is starting with colorful opening ceremony. Dignitaries such as Mr. Bat-Erdene Chimeddorj, President of Asian Draughts Confederation, Mr. Amindjonov Yunus, President of Uzbekistan Draughts Federation attended at the ceremony and gave speeches for the championship.

The championship is starting with 64-square draughts programs as well as Turkish draughts standard program. Totally around 300 players from 10 Asian countries are representing at the 2-weeks long continental championship. Mr. Bat-Erdene expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Sports of Uzbekistan and the National Federation for the hosting of the championship for 4th time for last 8 years. He emphasized the successes of Asian young players who won World championship titles in recent years by beating players from Europe and the other parts of the world.

The championship starts with 64-Classic program at 3pm by Tashkent time.
